SNOW
REMOVAL. — Residential Snow Removal, Lakeville & South Metro MN — Lofton Landscaping, serving Lakeville, Savage, Prior Lake, Burnsville, Apple Valley, Rosemount, Farmington and Eagan.
Cleared before the school run. Same route discipline as summer — you're on the list, you're never skipped.

What's included
- Driveway cleared full width, to the edges, not a single pass down the middle
- Walks and front steps shovelled
- Mailbox and apron cleared where access allows
- Push direction planned before the season so piles don't block the drive later
- Automatic service at trigger depth — no call required
- Ice-melt application on request
Trigger depth means you don't have to call
Snow service works on an automatic trigger — once accumulation passes an agreed depth, typically around two inches, we come whether or not you've called. That's the entire point. A service you have to phone at 5am during a storm, when everyone else is also phoning, isn't a service.
Overnight snow gets cleared before the morning commute wherever the route allows, and Lakeville sits first in the order because it's where we start. During a long storm we may run the route more than once rather than waiting for it to finish, because eight inches cleared twice is far easier on everyone than sixteen inches cleared once.
Where the snow goes matters more than people think
Every push has to put the snow somewhere, and by February that somewhere is full. Piles stacked in the wrong spot end up narrowing the drive, blocking sightlines at the street, or melting across the pavement during a thaw and refreezing overnight into a sheet of ice exactly where you walk.
So we plan push direction before the first snow — downwind, away from sightlines, off the low side so meltwater runs away from the drive rather than across it. On the long rural drives out toward Rosemount this matters even more, because open ground drifts, and a pile on the windward side means you're plowing the same snow twice.
The same crew that mows it, plows it
The advantage of a year-round crew is that in December they already know your property. They know where the drive edge actually is under the snow, where the turf starts, where the sprinkler heads sit and which side the pile can go without burying a shrub.
That's the thing that goes wrong with a plow contractor meeting a property for the first time in a storm at 4am: gouged turf along the drive edge, a flattened bed, a scraped apron. Every one of those is a spring repair someone pays for.
Sign on before the season
Property walked and push direction planned while the ground is still visible. Much easier than guessing in a storm.
Automatic at trigger depth
Once accumulation passes the agreed depth we come. No phone call, no queue.
Cleared before morning
Overnight snow cleared ahead of the commute, drives full width, walks and steps shovelled.
What it
costs.
Snow is quoted either as a flat seasonal rate — one number covering the whole winter regardless of how many storms land — or per push. Seasonal suits people who want the budget fixed; per-push suits lighter winters and lighter usage. We'll quote both and let you pick. No contract lock-in either way.

questions.
At what depth do you come out?+
Typically around two inches, agreed with you when you sign on. Service is automatic at that trigger — you don't call, we're already coming.
Seasonal rate or per push?+
Seasonal is one flat number for the whole winter no matter how many storms land, which makes budgeting simple. Per-push bills each visit and can cost less in a mild year. We quote both.
Do you shovel walks and steps as well as the driveway?+
Yes — walks, front steps and the mailbox apron where access allows are part of the standard service, not an add-on.
What about the plow ridge the city leaves at the end of my drive?+
We clear it. That ridge is usually the heaviest, most compacted snow on the property, and leaving it is how a cleared driveway still traps a car.
